RESEARCH INTERESTS

Biomolecular electronics

Identify the relationship between biomolecule structure and charge transport; design and regulate the electronic properties of DNA and peptide for the application of bioelectronics devices.

Cellular imaging and recognition

Synthesize functional nanomaterials as probes for cellular imaging and use AFM to indentify single-molecular interactions on cellular surfaces.

Soft materials

Combined with surface chemistry and physics, use multiple scanning probe microscopy (SPM) techniques, like AFM/STM imaging, force spectroscopy, and recognition imaging, to probe different biomolecule systems.

Bio-inorganic hybrid materials

Perform surface modifications and functionalizations, synthesize new bio-inorganic hybrid materials as well as apply for sensors and bioimaging.

Electrochemistry

Construct electrochemical biosensor.
